A Message from PenSPRA's President
Dear PenSPRA members, I hope that you enjoyed a relaxing summer and are rejuvenated for the school year ahead. Whether you are a few weeks into the new school year or have a few more days until you welcome students back into your buildings, I hope that you are soaking up all of the positive energy that often comes with the start of a new school year! |
I would be remiss if I did not take the opportunity to thank Christa Fazio, PenSPRA’s president emeritus, for her leadership and for playing an important role in PenSPRA’s growth and success over the past two years. On behalf of the executive board and our membership, we are grateful for her dedication to the organization and school communications professionals throughout the commonwealth.
Regardless of what the 2023-24 school year has in store for you and your school district, I hope that you will take the time to attend PenSPRA workshops, which include virtual and in-person programs, as well as the annual symposium, scheduled for March 7 and 8, 2024, in State College, PA. As I enter my 10th school year at Keystone Oaks School District, I have found it to be so important to make time to connect with like-minded colleagues, to learn from their experiences, and to share my own successes and challenges. You may be the only person in your district working in this important role, but please know that there are colleagues across the state, including myself, who are only a phone call, email or text message away and who are always willing to lend a helping hand…and a helpful communication.
I wish you all a fun and exciting 2023-24 school year!
Sincerely,
Sarah Welch
